Virtual group PLAVE speed into fifth mini album HYPERDRIVE
Virtual idol group PLAVE releases its racing-themed fifth mini album HYPERDRIVE on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. KST, led by the title track Star Trace.
📰 Summary
PLAVE’s fifth mini album, HYPERDRIVE, goes live digitally on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. KST, with the physical album following on Oct. 13. The title track is “Star Trace,” and the album carries a racing-inspired concept.
It’s the group’s first new release in about six months. PLAVE previewed part of the title track during the encore of its first world tour, “KEEP IT MANIC,” which opened at Incheon Munhak Stadium last month.
🤖 Context for new fans
PLAVE is a virtual idol group: the members appear as animated avatars, driven by real performers through motion capture. They release music, do livestreams and play concerts like any other group. Filling a stadium is a big statement for an act that fans never see in person.
